How to view UCLA class schedule? ›

The UCLA schedule of classes can be found on the UCLA Registrar's Office via the Registration & Classes tab. The UCLA schedule of classes allows students to search for courses available, depending on the term and search criterion.

There is no limit to the number of Passed/Not Passed courses you may repeat for those courses in which you receive a grade of “Not Passed.”

UCLA is supposed to be academically challenging! Chances are, even some of the smartest students here have probably also failed a test or retaken a class at some point in their college careers.

It is recommended that you take no more than three (3) classes in your first quarter at UCLA. We recommend that you take two (2) science/major classes and one (1) non-science course, e.g., general education, writing, etc. in your first quarter.

Enrollment Status

A study list of 12 or more units for registered undergraduate students, or 8 or more units for registered graduate students, is considered full-time status for enrollment reporting, insurance, intercollegiate athletics, and financial aid purposes.

Based on units completed and priority status, appointments are assigned randomly within pass time periods. Exact enrollment times are available through MyUCLA. Students can use the MyUCLA Class Planner to formulate several alternative study list plans in case first-choice classes are not available.

The average GPA at UCLA is 3.93. (Most schools use a weighted GPA out of 4.0, though some report an unweighted GPA. With a GPA of 3.93, UCLA requires you to be at the top of your class.

constitute grade points which are used to calculate the overall Grade-Point Average (GPA) of course work completed. The final course grades of A+ and A are weighted with 4.0 grade points, A- = 3.7; B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7; C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, etc.

Admit by Major? As you can see, the UCLA School of Nursing had the lowest acceptance rate of just 0.83%. The UCLA Samueli School of Engineering had the second lowest acceptance rate of 5.51%.

Is Harvard University or UCLA Harder to get into? Which school is easier to get into? If you're looking at acceptance rate alone, then Harvard University is more difficult to get into. However, each college is looking to fill its incoming class with a variety of students with different strengths, backgrounds, etc.

Can you skip a quarter at UCLA? ›

If you have withdrawn or were eligible to withdraw from a previous quarter (for example, you earned all Incomplete grades), you should meet with an academic advisor in your College advising unit before withdrawing from a subsequent term.

The average class has less than 20 students. Some classes can be very, very large however. Classes of 400–500 aren't hard to find.

Residents of university housing can maintain their residency while taking up to one quarter leave of absence. If the leave is longer, the student must leave housing and then re-apply upon return. Exceptions may be made for students on approved medical leave.

Canvas. UCLA Extension utilizes an online learning management system called Canvas. Within Canvas you can interact with your instructor and peers, find course materials, activities, assignments, quizzes, and more. Some courses also use Zoom to conduct scheduled, live-online class sessions.
